Review:
You've probably seen Wilshire Restaurant for some time now, as it's next to The Charleston (where I have the Sallie Unswined cocktail) - but you probably didn't know that it's owned by the La Vecchia restauranteur and is run by executive chef Nyesha Arrington (Season 9, Top Chef). Nyesha's mother is Korean, so you'll find a few asian twists to Wilshire's predominately seasonal and American menu.
Steak Tartar |

6. Sweet Potato Gratin
7. Sticky Toffee Pudding
Truffle Fries & Gratin |
As mentioned, you must get the Toffee Pudding - it's light, eye-rollingly delicious, and the product of a few years in the making (says Chef Arrington). Also perfected was the Filet Mignon and the Truffle fries. Spectacular presentation went to the Kale salad, and of course - the entire backyard decor.
