Quickie: "Umami" is considered the fifth taste sense, along with sour, sweet, bitter, and salty. Accordingly, Umami burger incorporates all five senses into their amazing burgers and sides.
OTC Tip: Umami offers non-cow based burgers too, including turkey, ahi tuna, and soy-based.
Review: Umami takes burgers - and beer - seriously, and they do not disappoint. As expected, the hard part is choosing which burger to go with. I prefer the Manly: Beer-cheddar cheese, smoked-salt onion strings, and bacon lardons are a great addition to anything, especially Umami's house-ground beef. My only complaint is that the portions aren't very large - I was just starting to fully appreciate the subtleties of the burger when I at the end and about to bite my fingers.
OTC Tip: If you are still hungry, add on a salad or the sweet potato fries. In addition, Umami has a great beer selection that would make even the most loyal BevMo customers proud. If you are unsure how to "match" your beer and burger, Umami offers pre-paired burgers and beer for a guaranteed no-fail experience.
